Payge Lecakes (they/themme) is a freelance movement artist and creative based in New York City. They are the founder and director of Not a Dance Company, a movement arts collective that strives to deconstruct and analyze societal patterns, constructions, and realities as independent dance artists within a communal structure.

Not A Dance Company has participated in such events as Dancing Beyond, the Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company’s STUDIO TO STAGE Residency Program, and Bridge for Dance’s Uptown Rising Performance Series, to name a few. Their dance films have been showcased at festivals such as Dance Source Houston’s Barnstorm Dance Fest and the Dance is Activism Film Festival.

After seeing a need among freelance dancers for affordable administrative, performance preparation, and media support, Payge has offered assistance with such services as website creation; resumé, application, reel, and music editing; costuming and event styling, headshot and in-studio photography; and promotional material design.
